Christmas

Fletcher,
We had so much fun celebrating Jesus (and Daddy) with Grandma and Grandpa this Christmas! We ate great food, decorated cookies, played lots, got new Christmas jammies, and opened presents. It was wonderful spending time with family!

Fletcher,
You did it! You finally started really crawling. You've been rocking and rolling for awhile now. Rocking back and forth on all fours, rocking back and forth and then launching yourself forward, and then even reaching an arm out. All very impressive, none actual crawling. But you've finally figured out the multi-limb movements necessary to crawl. Once you did it, you turned into a speed crawler within a couple of days! I think chasing your sister around helps. I haven't caught a picture of you in action, but here's a couple of just how cute you are!

We decided to celebrate Christmas by making and decorating cookies today. You sat with us and seemed to have fun watching us decorate! As always, you are such a good sport.

You got to meet Santa! I'm going to be honest, your sister kinda stole the show with this one. The thing is, she's not a huge fan of seeing Santa. You, on the other hand, seemed to mostly just sit and watch the whole scene play out. I love how you check Santa out trying to figure him out!

We had such a great time picking out a tree this year! It was awesome. We went to one of Daddy's friends tree farms, and they had crafts, and they drove us right to the trees, and cut it down for us, and tied it up and put it in our car for us! You hung out in the front pack while Hazel stomped around in the mud by the trees. We love this little tree! And decorating, well, you watched and played with all the tissue while we decorated.

we are thankful

Fletcher,
It was your first Thanksgiving, and we spent it with Nana, Papa, Aunt Al, Aunt Hannah, and Uncle Ty this year. Well, and all the rest of Nana's family too! We did so many fun things, and you were a trooper, as always. You munched on some of Daddy's sweet potatoes, and I'm pretty sure he let you taste some other yummy things too. Turns out you liked it...a lot! It was so fun spending all that time with family.

You are just so easy to love, with that big smile and super happy personality!

Fletcher,
Have I mentioned recently how happy you are. Like 96.8% of the time you are totally content. I really think it's just going to be who you are. Chill, low key, easy going, go with the flow, happy. This is how I imagine your friends are going to describe you in high school, and it makes me smile. Maybe I'm totally wrong, but I'd bet on it. Anyway, these pictures capture you well. Joyful, smiling, and silly!

This one makes me want to vomit. Dog kisses are gross. Open mouth dog kisses-Yuck. But, you seemed to like it.

Meanwhile, your sister looked like this. Yes, I believe you should have this picture to hold against her. Don't hold it too smugly though, I'm sure there will be one of you at some point.

Also, you do this and rock back and forth approximately all day. I wonder when you'll figure out you can move around this way?!

Lastly, does it hurt when your eyelashes hit your forehead? Sheesh, they are long!!!
